Rooted in Aso District, Kumamoto, Japan. After graduating from Kokoro Medical Welfare College, Koki obtained Japan’s national qualifications in acupuncture and moxibustion in 2013. He went on to further his studies at Nihon Fukushi University and the University of Human Arts and Science, gaining additional clinical experience and academic training. In 2015, he joined Meridians Japanese Healing Arts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he worked with Oran Kivity. There, he specialised in Japanese acupuncture techniques including Manaka-style and Toyohari, while also supporting clinical and administrative operations. From 2016, Koki practised in Auckland, New Zealand, providing acupuncture treatments in collaboration with physiotherapists under the ACC system. He focused on sports injuries, rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal conditions, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of international patients. In 2019, he began working aboard international cruise ships, offering acupuncture treatments in onboard wellness centres. Treating over 200 guests per voyage, he addressed a wide variety of concerns—from chronic pain and digestive issues to stress management and facial acupuncture—while introducing the benefits of Japanese acupuncture to people from around the world. Now based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Koki offers treatments that combine traditional Japanese acupuncture with insights from Western medicine. His passion for sports, rock climbing, trekking, and road biking gives him a deep understanding of the body, allowing him to support athletes and active individuals in injury prevention and performance enhancement. Fluent in Japanese and English, and currently learning Dutch, Koki brings both expertise and approachability—making him a trusted and easy-to-talk-to practitioner for people of all backgrounds.
